Compare the roles
| Option | Phone / role | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| DiPlay | iPhone → compatible BYD Android receiver | Experimental public APK, head-unit firmware, exact reports |
| DiAuto | Android → BYD Android Auto receiver | Android Auto phone requirements and its own compatibility docs |
| xcertplay | Upstream Android CarPlay receiver | README describes onboard MFi chip or CH341 hardware path |
| CarPlay box | Depends on the exact product | Native wired-CarPlay requirement, USB/display/audio interface, vendor manual |
Avoid an unsupported ranking
DiPlay’s notices attribute its receiver to xcertplay and UI work to DiAuto. That lineage does not make those apps interchangeable or their hardware/authentication paths identical.
No universal “most stable”, price comparison or device recommendation is justified by these sources. Match an actual product manual and vehicle report before buying hardware.
